Taishin Bank has launched the first-ever metal credit card with integrated vehicle key functionality, partnering with electric scooter maker Gogoro in Taiwan’s increasingly competitive high-end card market.
The new Taishin Gogoro Rewards metal card, which follows the original partnership that has attracted over 150,000 users since 2022, allows cardholders to use the card as a physical key for their Gogoro electric scooters while earning up to 15% cash back on select purchases.
Taishin Bank has invested over NT$200 million (US$6.2 million) in Gogoro Smart Points through the co-branded program, which converts spending into rewards that can be used for vehicle purchases, battery subscription plans, and maintenance costs.
