Hana Securities Launches Service for Hong Kong Investors to Trade South Korean Stocks

South Korea’s Hana Securities, a part of  Hana Financial Group, on Tuesday the launch of a new service that allows Hong Kong investors to open accounts and invest in South Korean stocks through a partnership with Emperor Securities. This initiative enables Hong Kong VIP investors to open Hana Securities accounts at Emperor Securities branch offices without the need to visit South Korea.

Under the business agreement, Emperor Securities will provide all necessary services for investing in South Korean stocks, including remittance and foreign exchange. Established in 1990, Emperor Securities is a leading securities firm in Hong Kong and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emperor Capital Group Ltd., a prominent financial holding company in Hong Kong.

Hana Securities’ move comes as part of its broader strategy to cater to foreign investors. Earlier this year, the company established a foreign investment solutions team dedicated to enhancing services for non-resident foreigners. This team focuses on improving trading, deposit, withdrawal, and foreign exchange processes to make investing in South Korean stocks more accessible and convenient for international clients.

This partnership marks a significant step in Hana Securities’ efforts to attract foreign capital and expand its international footprint. By leveraging Emperor Securities’ established presence and expertise in Hong Kong, Hana Securities aims to provide a seamless investment experience for Hong Kong investors looking to tap into the South Korean market.
