Quanta Computer Inc. reported monthly revenue of NT$141.35 billion ($4.5 billion) in November, marking its third-highest monthly sales ever as artificial intelligence server demand continued to surge. The Taiwan-based manufacturer saw revenue jump 36.4% from a year earlier, while posting a 4% gain from October.
The company shipped 3.6 million notebooks in November, up 12.5% from the previous month but down 5.26% year-over-year. The monthly gains were partially driven by seasonal demand and orders for Apple Inc.’s new MacBook models.
Looking ahead, Quanta expects its notebook shipments to decline by double digits this quarter, though average selling prices should see slight improvement. For servers, the company projects continued strength in AI-related products, with revenue from this segment expected to grow by triple digits next year.
The manufacturer has started small-volume shipments of Nvidia Corp.’s latest GB200 servers in the fourth quarter, with mass production scheduled for late first quarter 2024. AI servers are projected to account for over 70% of Quanta’s total cloud business next year, up from the current 50%.
