Naver Corp. presented its digital twin and artificial intelligence capabilities at Cityscape Global 2025, the construction industry’s largest annual gathering, which opened Monday in Riyadh. The South Korean internet company is leveraging the exhibition to deepen ties with Saudi partners while promoting its urban technology platform.
The tech firm completed digital twin systems for Mecca, Medina and Jeddah in June, covering more than 6,800 square kilometers and mapping over 920,000 buildings. Naver won the project in October 2023 through a $100 million contract with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.
The exhibition booth features zones highlighting smart city platforms, mapping robots and AI infrastructure. Naver organized displays around its digital twin work and cloud computing services tailored for Saudi Arabia’s construction sector.
The platform enables urban planning analysis, flood simulations and building compliance verification using pre-construction design data. Engineers can assess terrain conditions, calculate earthwork volumes and evaluate skyline impacts through the system.
Kim You-won, Naver Cloud’s chief executive, said the company plans to advance the platform with local partners and identify additional applications. Naver Cloud and NHC Innovation formed a joint venture two weeks ago to develop digital twin solutions and explore commercial opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
