KT Corp. is partnering with Palantir Technologies to accelerate its artificial intelligence transformation business in the United States, strengthening the South Korean telecom giant’s pivot toward AI services.

The alliance, announced on March 12, makes KT the first Korean company to join Palantir’s worldwide partner ecosystem. The telecommunications provider will incorporate Palantir’s security technology into its secure public cloud offering, particularly targeting financial sectors where regulatory compliance is crucial.

This move follows KT’s October agreement with Microsoft, which included a 2.4 trillion won ($1.8 billion) investment over five years to develop secure cloud infrastructure and a Korean AI model.

KT plans to implement Palantir’s software internally while collaborating on an AI platform education program modeled after Palantir’s AIP Bootcamp, which ran 1,300 sessions in the U.S. last year.

CEO Kim Young-seob indicated the partnership combines Palantir’s technical capabilities with KT’s consulting expertise, positioning the company as a competitive player in both domestic and international AI transformation markets.

Palantir, known for providing data analytics platforms to government agencies including the U.S. Department of Defense, will supply technical infrastructure to support major Korean companies through this collaboration.
