Kolmar Korea, the country’s leading cosmetics contract manufacturer, secured exclusive manufacturing sponsorship for Amazon Beauty in Seoul 2025, scheduled for September 19 at COEX Grand Ballroom. The announcement represents the companies’ continued effort to capitalize on growing international demand for Korean beauty products.
The event follows their June 2024 collaboration that attracted 2,400 participants from beauty brands, distributors and manufacturers. Kolmar Group Vice Chairman Yoon Sang-hyun will deliver the opening lecture on “K-beauty Success from the Perspective of a Cosmetics Manufacturer,” while Amazon executives Melis del Rey and Alli Oosta will present market penetration strategies for U.S. expansion.
K-beauty products on Amazon’s global platform rose more than 75% last year, with the market valued at approximately $10 billion. Kolmar has secured contracts with 253 customers, predominantly independent brands, marking a 48.7% increase from the previous year.
As the official sponsor, Kolmar will operate consultation booths offering overseas expansion support while showcasing AI-based skin diagnosis technology. The partnership positions both companies to benefit from the Korean beauty industry’s momentum, though success depends on whether emerging brands can maintain their appeal in increasingly competitive international markets.
The collaboration underscores Amazon’s strategy to deepen ties with Korean suppliers as global consumers embrace K-beauty products.
