Far EasTone Communications Ltd. reported its highest-ever annual revenue of NT$104.6 billion ($3.3 billion) in 2024, fueled by rising 5G adoption and strong enterprise solutions demand. The Taiwanese carrier saw its December revenue surge 14.9% to NT$9.99 billion.
The company’s 5G penetration reached 43% of its postpaid subscriber base, maintaining its industry-leading position. Monthly average revenue per user continued to expand for 12 consecutive months following the Asia Pacific Telecom merger.
Far EasTone’s full-year net income rose 14.8% to NT$12.84 billion, marking its best performance in a decade. Earnings per share of NT$3.56 exceeded management’s guidance by 15%.
Mobile service revenue jumped 9.4% to NT$5.15 billion in December, extending growth to 46 straight months. The telecom provider’s EBITDA climbed 13.2% to NT$36.31 billion for the full year.
The results reflect Far EasTone’s successful integration of Asia Pacific Telecom and its push into enterprise telecommunications services, helping offset intense competition in Taiwan’s saturated mobile market.
