ADATA Technology has signed a partnership agreement with Japanese trading company Itochu Corporation and its subsidiary Itochu Retail Link to jointly develop Japan’s memory market. The signing ceremony took place in Tokyo on February 27.

Under the agreement, Itochu will serve as ADATA’s primary importer in Japan, handling supply chain management, while Itochu Retail Link will manage product sales and channel operations. The collaboration aims to provide quality products and services to local consumers and businesses.

ADATA, the world’s second-largest memory module brand, will utilize Itochu’s established distribution channels to rapidly expand in the Japanese consumer market. Meanwhile, Itochu will leverage ADATA’s brand strength to enter the consumer electronics sector.

Wu Zongting, ADATA’s Vice President, indicated that the alliance with Itochu Group demonstrates the company’s commitment to the Japanese market and marks a new phase in its brand development. Through Itochu’s distribution resources, ADATA expects to enhance its brand influence and market penetration.

The partnership will cover multiple product categories, including high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs), memory modules for PCs and servers, and portable storage devices such as external SSDs and memory cards.

Japan represents a strategic market for ADATA due to its high-end consumer base and strict quality standards. The company plans to develop specialized products for the Japanese market while optimizing its supply chain to increase sales efficiency and market share.
