Quanta Computer Inc. reported record-breaking September revenue of NT$155.11 billion ($4.8 billion), driven by strong AI server shipments and end-of-quarter notebook sales. The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer saw a 57.9% year-on-year increase in monthly revenue, with third-quarter consolidated revenue reaching NT$424.55 billion ($13.1 billion).
Despite a slight annual decline in notebook shipments, Quanta’s AI server business continues to flourish. The company expects AI server revenue to grow by triple digits this year, offsetting the single-digit percentage drop in laptop shipments.
Quanta’s executive vice president, Yang Qiling, hinted at improving AI development in the second half of the year. The firm began shipping Nvidia H100 servers in the second quarter and is now incorporating H200 chips, with AI servers accounting for half of overall server revenue.
To support growth, Quanta announced plans to invest $80 million in its Vietnamese and German subsidiaries. The Vietnamese investment will expand notebook production capacity, with trial production expected by year-end.
