The business agreement was inked at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, marking a significant stride in maritime innovation.

This strategic partnership aims to establish a digitalized, automated production system that seamlessly oversees data from initial ship design to final production, all under one unified platform. This endeavor is poised to eradicate inefficiencies stemming from disjointed data flows across various stages, thus catalyzing a surge in productivity. The grand vision is to achieve full-scale digital automation within Hyundai Mipo Dockyard’s internal operations by the culmination of 2025, ultimately culminating in a digital twin-driven integrated platform adaptable across all subsidiaries.

Upon the platform’s fruition, HD Hyundai envisions a transformative ‘virtuous cycle of shipbuilding’, whereby insights garnered from the production site feed into design refinement. This iterative process is anticipated to yield marked improvements in ship quality and process efficiency.
