Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., also known as Foxconn, has announced impressive revenue figures for May, reaching NT$550.2 billion. This marks a monthly increase of 7.68% and a significant annual growth of 22.06%, setting a new record for the period. The company’s cumulative revenue for the first five months of 2024 stood at NT$2.3832 trillion, reflecting a 1.73% annual increase and securing its position as the second highest for the same period in history, just behind the 2022 figure of NT$2.3924 trillion.

Product Category Performance:

  1. Computer Terminal Products: The launch of new products has fueled strong month-to-month growth in this category. Notably, this segment also exhibited robust year-on-year growth, indicating a sustained demand for innovative computer terminal solutions.
  2. Cloud Network Products: Benefiting from the increasing demand for AI cloud products, this category experienced significant month-to-month and year-on-year growth. The AI-driven momentum in cloud product pull-through has been a key factor in this performance surge.
  3. Components and Other Products: While this category saw an increase in component shipments within the consumer smart product segment, it remained flat month-to-month due to a decline in non-core business demand. However, the year-on-year growth was strong, demonstrating the resilience and adaptability of this segment.
  4. Consumer Smart Products: This category remained relatively stable, showing consistent performance both month-to-month and year-on-year.

Despite the second quarter traditionally being an off-season, Hon Hai’s main products are currently transitioning between old and new models, which usually poses a challenge. However, the company’s operating outlook for Q2 2024 has been revised upwards due to higher-than-expected demand for AI server products. This surge in demand is anticipated to enhance the company’s visibility and performance, surpassing previous expectations.

The robust performance across these product categories underscores Hon Hai’s strategic positioning and its ability to leverage market opportunities effectively. As the company continues to innovate and adapt to market demands, particularly in the burgeoning field of AI cloud products, it remains well-positioned for sustained growth and profitability.

This latest revenue announcement reflects Hon Hai’s strong market presence and strategic agility, setting a positive tone for the rest of the fiscal year. The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence continues to drive its growth trajectory, making it a formidable player in the global technology and manufacturing landscape.
