Toei Animation has announced via their official X account that the One Piece Mugiwara Store, the world’s largest One Piece store, will be making its U.S. debut. The pop-up shop will be part of Toei Animation’s exhibit booth at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, marking the first time the store has had a presence in the United States.
The Mugiwara Store, a beloved destination for One Piece fans since it first opened in Tokyo’s Shibuya Parco Part 1 shopping complex on October 5, 2012, is known for its extensive collection of over 10,000 items. The store’s U.S. debut promises to offer a variety of exclusive merchandise catering to One Piece enthusiasts, bringing coveted items directly from Japan.
Currently, Japan hosts eight permanent Mugiwara Stores, with plans for two additional locations. Internationally, the store has expanded to Taiwan, Thailand, and China, showcasing the global popularity of the One Piece franchise.
Anime Expo 2024 will be held from July 4-8 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where fans can immerse themselves in the world of One Piece and purchase exclusive goods at the Mugiwara Store’s pop-up shop. This event is set to be a highlight for anime enthusiasts and collectors alike, providing a unique opportunity to experience a piece of Japanese pop culture firsthand.
