WinWay Technology, a key player in semiconductor test interface solutions, has reported a significant revenue spike in April 2024, with consolidated earnings reaching NT$469 million. This marks a 19.53% increase from March and an impressive 90.95% rise from April 2023. The company’s revenue from January to April 2024 totaled NT$1.542 billion, up 23.01% compared to the same period last year.

The surge in revenue is attributed to robust demand for applications related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC), which have reached new highs in both monthly and annual comparisons. Despite a cautious outlook from leading foundries on the global semiconductor market for 2024, WinWay remains optimistic about the prospects of AI-related technologies and applications, revising its market visibility upward through 2028.

The complexity of modern chips under the influence of AI and HPC trends is escalating, driving demand for sophisticated test interfaces capable of handling large packaging, high power, frequency, and speed. Concurrently, the revival in consumer electronics continues to bolster the industry, particularly with the rise of AI mobile phones. Generative AI technology has catalyzed the development of AI-enhanced mobile devices, beginning with high-end flagship models in 2024 and expected to permeate mid-to-low range models by 2025 to 2026.

WinWay is also leveraging Malaysia’s growing position as a core international hub for IC packaging and testing. The company’s business team at the WinWay Penang Service Center in Penang is actively expanding local customer bases, benefiting from the comprehensive semiconductor supply chain established in the region.

As the year progresses, WinWay anticipates sustained growth, fueled by ongoing demand for AI PCs, AI mobile phones, APUs, GPUs, and CPUs. With a solid foundation in high-end, high-frequency chip markets, WinWay Technology is poised to capitalize on the expanding influence of AI and HPC across various sectors, maintaining a positive outlook for the remainder of 2024.
