Tose Co. confirmed today that it will record a ¥789 million ($5.2 million) extraordinary gain from selling part of its land holdings connected to the reconstruction of its Nagaokakyo headquarters building.
The Kyoto-based gaming software developer, which previously announced the building reconstruction plan on February 26, will incur special losses of ¥314 million ($2.1 million) related to relocation compensation and impairment charges on investment real estate.
According to the company’s financial disclosure, the timing of these transactions will create an earnings imbalance across fiscal periods. While the special losses will be recorded in the current fiscal year ending August 2025, the extraordinary gain will only appear in fiscal 2026 financial statements.
Despite this accounting sequence that will show only losses in the current fiscal period, Tose reassured shareholders that its dividend policy remains unchanged. The company plans to maintain stable dividend payments for the fiscal year ending August 2025.
Tose, which primarily develops gaming software for larger publishers, has been implementing strategic property adjustments as part of its broader operational restructuring plan. The company trades on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under ticker 4728.
