Tigerair Taiwan Posts Record Revenue, Profit in 2024

The carrier plans to expand its Kyushu network with new Taoyuan-Oita route starting in April

Tigerair Taiwan reported record-high revenue of NT$16.42 billion ($513 million) in 2024, up 31.7% year-on-year, while net profit surged 51.7% to NT$2.77 billion ($86.6 million). The carrier announced a total cash dividend of NT$6.05 per share, representing a 6.9% yield at the current share price.

The airline maintained strong performance into 2025, with January revenue reaching NT$1.69 billion, up 31.2% from a year earlier. February revenue totaled NT$1.53 billion, bringing year-to-date earnings to NT$3.22 billion, a 12.7% increase over the same period last year.

Japan remains a key market for the carrier, with Japanese government data showing Taiwan ranked as the third-largest source of visitors to Japan in January, behind only China and Korea. Total foreign visitors to Japan jumped 40.6% year-on-year to 3.78 million in January.

Tigerair Taiwan will launch a new Taoyuan-Oita route on April 2, complementing its existing Kyushu network that includes Fukuoka, Saga, and Miyazaki. The carrier plans to take delivery of two A320neo aircraft in the second half of 2025 and has extended leases on six planes to mitigate global aircraft delivery delays.
