Japanese technology firm Tenda Corp. posted a 31% increase in first-half revenue, driven by strong performance in its digital solutions unit and contributions from recent acquisitions.
Sales reached ¥2.87 billion ($19.3 million) in the six months through November, while operating profit climbed 26% to ¥306 million. Net income nearly doubled to ¥223 million, the Tokyo-based company said in a statement.
The digital solutions segment, Tenda’s largest business unit, saw revenue rise 25% to ¥1.94 billion as the company secured new contracts for artificial intelligence-related technologies from existing clients. This helped offset the completion of several major projects from the previous year.
While game content revenue more than doubled following a partnership with Yamada Denki’s gaming platform, the segment’s profit dropped 26% due to integration costs from its Skyarts acquisition. The company expects synergies from Skyarts’ visual effects capabilities to materialize in the next fiscal year.
Tenda maintained its full-year forecast for sales of ¥6 billion and operating profit of ¥700 million, representing growth of 16% and 28% respectively.
