WinWay Technology, a Taiwanese semiconductor test interface manufacturer, expects double-digit revenue growth in 2024, driven by increasing demand for AI chip testing solutions.
The test socket maker, which partners with top global IC design firms, sees growing opportunities in aging and functional testing requirements for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing chips. The company specializes in coaxial sockets and vertical probe cards designed for advanced semiconductor testing.
WinWay’s board recently approved establishing a subsidiary in Malaysia, building on its existing presence in Penang. The move follows Malaysia’s semiconductor export growth, which has maintained a compound annual growth rate exceeding 7% over the past five years.
The expansion comes as WinWay strengthens its position in Southeast Asia, where it established a business and technical service center in Penang earlier in 2023. The new subsidiary aims to provide enhanced technical support to regional customers.
The company’s chairman Wang Chia-huang cited strong performance in the first three quarters of 2023, attributing the success to increased testing demands for high-end chips used in AI applications. This growth trajectory is expected to continue as artificial intelligence development drives demand for sophisticated testing interfaces.
