Hota Industrial Manufacturing Co. posted NT$233 million ($7.4 million) in December revenue, up 3.21% from November and 0.62% year-over-year, driven by strong demand for high-end storage components.
The Taiwanese precision parts maker saw its hard drive components revenue hit a two-and-a-half year high in December, reaching NT$66 million. This surge pushed fourth-quarter sales to their highest level in ten quarters. For 2024, hard drive parts revenue jumped 95.85% to NT$588 million, fueled by artificial intelligence-related demand.
Auto components remained the company’s primary revenue source, contributing NT$160 million or 68.93% of December sales. Total 2024 revenue rose 11.56% to NT$2.57 billion.
Looking ahead, Hota expects growth from new auto parts projects, including components for commercial trucks and global automakers. Production is set to ramp up after the Lunar New Year. The company also secured contracts with a major Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer for seat components and plans to supply turbocharger parts for new energy vehicles in the second half of 2025.
