Taiwanese telecom equipment maker Sercomm Corporation reported a 4.6% rise in nine-month profit despite weaker sales, as the company benefited from improved product margins and diverse manufacturing locations.

Net income climbed to NT$1.77 billion ($55.8 million) in the first three quarters, while revenue for the third quarter dropped 13.9% to NT$13.46 billion ($424.5 million) from a year earlier. The company’s gross margin expanded to 18% in the third quarter.

The Taipei-based manufacturer has been leveraging its production facilities across Taiwan, Philippines, India, Mexico, and China to navigate geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions. This strategy has helped Sercomm maintain its telecom equipment sales despite global headwinds.

Third-quarter profit reached NT$550 million ($17.3 million), making it the second-best Q3 performance in the company’s history. Earnings per share for the period stood at NT$6.02 ($0.19).

The company expects performance to improve further as countries upgrade their network infrastructure to support artificial intelligence applications and high-speed internet deployment.
