Samsung SDS Co., the IT services arm of South Korea’s Samsung Group, is set to launch its generative AI service, FabriX, on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. Announced at the Real Summit 2024 in Seoul, the integration is part of Samsung SDS’s strategy to expand its global footprint in the AI sector.
The new service, which will be available as early as next month, is expected to benefit users of both FabriX and Azure, enabling seamless access to AI-powered tools and resources across various industries. According to Samsung, FabriX leverages large language models (LLMs), including ChatGPT and Naver’s HyperCLOVA X, to connect enterprise data, knowledge assets, and work systems, enhancing business efficiency.
The introduction of FabriX on Azure is seen as a critical step for Samsung SDS in positioning itself as a global player in the AI market. Industry experts suggest that this collaboration could pave the way for broader adoption of Samsung’s AI solutions worldwide.
In addition to FabriX, Samsung SDS showcased Brity Copilot at the conference—a generative AI-based digital assistant designed to streamline business processes such as email management, messaging, and meetings. Already in use at Samsung SDS’s own offices, Brity Copilot has reportedly improved productivity and time management.
The Real Summit 2024 also featured insights from key industry figures, including Michael Dell of Dell Technologies and representatives from Nvidia and Workday, highlighting Samsung SDS’s commitment to advancing AI-driven innovation in collaboration with global tech leaders.
