Qisda Corp., a Taiwanese technology manufacturer, deepened its healthcare market presence by outfitting Taipei’s Tri-Service General Hospital with advanced rehabilitation equipment. The company installed artificial intelligence systems and medical devices at the hospital’s new sports medicine center.
The project highlights Qisda’s shift from its traditional electronics manufacturing toward higher-margin medical technology. The company developed customized AI solutions for patient tracking, diagnostic support, and rehabilitation monitoring at the facility.
Drawing from Stanford University’s sports medicine center design, Qisda integrated automated recovery tracking systems with specialized ultrasound and shock wave therapy equipment. The technology allows doctors to collect patient data and generate personalized treatment plans.
While Qisda promotes the center as Taiwan’s first AI-powered sports medicine facility, the company faces competition from established medical equipment providers like Philips and Siemens in the growing healthcare technology market.
The hospital project could serve as a showcase for Qisda’s healthcare capabilities as it seeks to expand its medical division. However, the company has not disclosed the contract value or expected revenue from ongoing system maintenance and upgrades.
The deal aligns with Qisda’s strategy to diversify beyond consumer electronics manufacturing, where margins have been squeezed by intense competition.
