Phison Electronics, a leading manufacturer of NAND control chips and storage solutions, announced record-breaking June operating results with combined revenue reaching NT$5.361 billion, a 56% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This marks the highest June revenue in the company’s history. The total annual revenue as of June hit NT$32.421 billion, up 61% from the same period last year, representing the second highest revenue for this period in Phison’s history.

The company’s CEO, Pan Jiancheng, highlighted the impressive growth in the PCIe SSD control chip segment, which saw a 79% year-over-year increase in shipments for June. Additionally, the total NAND storage bit shipments for the year up to June grew by 54%, setting another record for the period. These figures indicate a robust demand in the NAND storage market, despite a slowdown in the retail storage sector.

Phison’s performance was bolstered by the introduction of new storage products at the Taipei International Computer Show COMPUTEX in June, which spurred overall market demand. Notably, enterprise-level SSD storage demand remains strong, with continued growth in mobile storage capacity further supporting market stability. This has led NAND manufacturers to maintain firm pricing strategies.

At COMPUTEX, Phison showcased a comprehensive range of NAND storage products, including the world’s first DRAM-less PCIe 5.0 SSD control chip (E31T) and the first single-chip native USB 4.0 storage control chip (U21). These innovations received enthusiastic responses from customers, particularly in the enterprise-class SSD segment, where Phison’s PASCARI products are gaining traction. The company is engaged in numerous design-in cooperation projects for enterprise-class SSDs, and its patented aiDAPTIV+ solution is steadily expanding its ecosystem, promising positive revenue contributions in upcoming quarters.
