Imagineer Corp., a Japanese video game developer, reported a 98% surge in net income to 529 million yen ($3.6 million) for the nine months through December, driven by strong sales of new Nintendo Switch titles. The Tokyo-based company released seven new games during the period, including Fit Boxing 3 and Disney Music Parade Encore.
Revenue climbed 13% to 4.8 billion yen, while operating profit more than doubled to 407 million yen. The company’s flagship Fit Boxing franchise surpassed 3 million units in global sales following the latest release.
Imagineer is now expanding into mobile gaming with Medabots Survivor, scheduled for release in February. The game marks a new chapter for the classic robot-battle franchise, which has maintained a loyal following since its debut in the late 1990s.
Despite the strong performance, Imagineer maintained its conservative full-year forecast, projecting net income of 460 million yen on sales of 6.2 billion yen for the fiscal year ending March 2025.
