NCsoft Corp. confirmed the title “Limit Zero Breakers” for its upcoming anime-style action role-playing game, marking another step in the Korean publisher’s ambitious turnaround strategy following last year’s operational losses.

The game, previously known as “BREAKERS: Unlock the World,” will launch globally in 2026 across PC and mobile platforms, according to NCsoft’s announcement. VIC Game Studios is developing the title in partnership with Japanese publisher Kadokawa.

The timing reflects NCsoft’s broader effort to stabilize its business after recording its first operating loss in over a decade during 2024, with a deficit of ₩109.2 billion ($81.4 million). The company has delayed multiple game releases, including pushing Breakers from late 2025 to early 2026, citing quality improvements and scheduling conflicts.

NCsoft plans to release seven new titles by 2026 and projects revenue could reach ₩2-2.5 trillion ($1.5-1.9 billion), though such ambitious targets come after the company canceled six projects and reduced its workforce by 25% during recent restructuring.

The game will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show in September, where NCsoft hopes to demonstrate progress on what it describes as a “playable anime” experience featuring cross-platform gameplay and cinematic presentation.
