LS Eco Energy is breaking into Southeast Asia’s fast-growing data center market by supplying power cables to the Philippines’ largest server facility, expanding its regional footprint beyond manufacturing.
The South Korean company delivered medium and low voltage cables to STT Fairview Campus through its Vietnamese subsidiary LS-VINA, according to a statement Monday. The data center near Manila is being built by Singapore-based STT GDC, which operates more than 110 facilities globally.
When completed, the Quezon City facility will have 124 megawatts of capacity, positioning it as a key infrastructure hub for cloud and AI companies in the region.
Southeast Asia’s data center market is projected to grow from about $8.8 billion in 2023 at an annual rate exceeding 10% through 2028, driven by increased internet usage, smartphone adoption and rising digital service demands.
LS Eco Energy CEO Lee Sang-ho said the company plans to “aggressively target” the Southeast Asian data center market, leveraging its Vietnamese production base as similar projects advance in Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.
