South Korea’s Lotte Innovate will debut its autonomous security robot, Dooroo Eye, at the Autonomous Driving Mobility EXPO 2024. The event, organized by the Korea Association of Autonomous Mobility Industry (KAAMI) and COEX, will take place from June 17 to 19 in Gangnam, Seoul, marking the nation’s first specialized exhibition for autonomous driving technology.
Dooroo Eye, an IoT-based robot, is designed to bolster security and safety through autonomous patrolling of building perimeters and factories. The robot operates at low speeds, detecting anomalies that could pose security or safety risks, thus aiding in accident prevention.
Lotte Innovate plans to officially launch Dooroo Eye by the end of July. The company is also developing an integrated service to combine Dooroo Eye with traditional security personnel, aiming to enhance security measures and reduce vulnerabilities.
Since February, Lotte Innovate has partnered with Neubility, an autonomous robot service company, to refine Dooroo Eye’s hardware capabilities. Enhancements include camera-based thermal imaging, gas detection, and object recognition, making Dooroo Eye a comprehensive security solution.
The Autonomous Driving Mobility EXPO 2024 will serve as a platform for Lotte Innovate to showcase Dooroo Eye’s advanced features and its potential impact on the future of security and safety in various settings.
