Kinpo Electronics Inc. is betting on artificial intelligence to double its profits in 2024, as the Taiwanese manufacturer diversifies beyond its traditional electronics assembly business into AI servers and autonomous driving technology.

The company expects to surpass its earnings per share of NT$0.95 ($0.03) recorded in the first three quarters of 2023, Chief Executive Officer Chen Wei-chang said at the annual company gathering. Kinpo is expanding its footprint in the automotive sector, recently showcasing smart cockpit solutions at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

The electronics maker is developing safety-related components as its first phase of automotive products before venturing into autonomous driving systems, Chen said. The company’s global manufacturing presence across seven countries is attracting new orders from international clients seeking to diversify their supply chains amid geopolitical tensions.

Kinpo Group President Hsu Sheng-hsiung said the AI trend will continue for at least two decades, driving demand for the company’s products. The manufacturer has secured new orders from its facilities in Philippines and Thailand, benefiting from multinational companies’ strategy to spread production across different regions.

The company’s push into AI applications, including unmanned factories and servers, positions it to achieve new revenue heights in 2024, management said.
