Inventec, a leading name in server motherboard manufacturing, has announced an impressive performance for March, marking a 35.7% increase from the previous month and a 5.6% increase year-on-year, reaching a 17-month high. This growth also represented the second-highest revenue for the same period in the company’s history. For the first quarter of the year, Inventec’s revenue soared to 130.505 billion yuan, achieving an 8.59% annual increase and setting a new record for the period.

The company’s notebook computer shipments in March totaled 1.7 million units, showing significant monthly and annual growths of 30.76% and 6.25%, respectively. The first quarter saw shipments maintaining a steady pace with 4.5 million units, indicating a stable quarter-to-quarter performance and a 2.27% increase from the previous year. However, Inventec anticipates a decrease in laptop shipments for the second quarter due to advanced shipments in the first quarter and delayed bids moving to the third quarter.

Inventec remains bullish on its server business, particularly AI servers, expecting single-digit growth in general server shipments and double-digit growth in AI server shipments. The optimism is fueled by easing upstream material conditions and robust downstream demand. Inventec is aggressively pursuing business opportunities with NVIDIA’s GB200 chip through its P8000IG6 AI server and the newly introduced rack-mounted AI server “Artemis”.

Additionally, Inventec’s innovation in neural network processing units (NPUs), named “VectorMeshTM,” has progressed to the trial production phase and is slated for mass production in the fourth quarter of this year, with expectations for increased production volumes in 2025. Inventec is not only collaborating with two domestic IC design manufacturers but also exploring partnerships with other industry players. These NPUs are designed primarily for AI image recognition and specialized mathematical operations, highlighting Inventec’s commitment to advancing AI technology applications.
