Inventec, a leading server motherboard manufacturer, reported a revenue of NT$52.18 billion in May, marking a 2.2% monthly increase and a 13.3% year-on-year rise. This revenue not only set a 26-month high but also represented the highest figure for May in the past and the second highest monthly revenue in the company’s history. The cumulative revenue for the first five months of the year reached NT$233.724 billion, reflecting a 15.08% annual increase.
In May, Inventec shipped 1.7 million laptops, a 13.33% increase from April but a 5.55% decrease compared to the same period last year. Improved upstream material supply and reduced delivery times for Huida H100 servers significantly bolstered the company’s monthly performance.
During the Taipei International Computer Show (Computex), General Manager Cai Zhi’an noted that Inventec is an OEM for seven Huida GB200 servers, with steady shipments expected to begin in the fourth quarter and increase further next year. The next generation of new products from Huida is not anticipated until 2026, indicating that current products will continue to dominate this year and next.
Chairman Ye Li-cheng emphasized the need for improved hardware specifications to meet the demands of AI applications, highlighting that current consumer devices lack the necessary computing power. Inventec remains optimistic about the diversified development of AI PC system architecture and is committed to collaborating with customers to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
