Hyosung TNC, a global leader in the spandex market, has announced plans to significantly increase its diaper spandex production capacity. By February 2025, the company intends to enhance its facilities in India and Turkiye, which currently boast a combined annual capacity of 73,000 tons. This expansion will add an additional 11,000 tons to meet the rising global demand for diaper spandex.

The strategic investment is part of Hyosung TNC’s initiative to develop a global local production system, extending the manufacturing of diaper spandex beyond its existing facilities in Gumi, Korea, and locations in Zhuhai and Jiaxing, China. This move is set to bolster the production capabilities in India and Turkiye, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to decentralize its manufacturing footprint.

Kim Ki-hyeong, CEO of Hyosung TNC, emphasized the importance of this expansion: “Creora has consistently maintained its position as the global leader in the spandex market. With this investment, we aim to further solidify our leadership by ensuring a stable supply chain and maintaining high-quality standards in the burgeoning field of diaper spandex.” This strategic development highlights Hyosung TNC’s commitment to addressing the growing market needs and reinforcing its global production network.
