Hosiden Corp. lifted its full-year profit forecast as stronger demand for Nintendo gaming components and mobile communication parts boosted its sales outlook. The Japanese electronic parts maker now expects net income of 9 billion yen ($60.4 million) for the year ending March 2025, up 41% from its previous estimate.

The Osaka-based company raised its revenue target by 4.8% to 238 billion yen, citing increased orders from the gaming and mobile communications segments. Operating profit is projected to reach 12.5 billion yen, exceeding earlier guidance by 36%.

Despite the improved outlook, Hosiden’s projected earnings still fall short of last year’s results. The company expects net income to decline 23% year-on-year, while operating profit may drop 3.2%.

The manufacturer pointed to improved profitability in its mobile communications business and favorable exchange rates as key factors supporting the revised guidance. The yen’s weakness against major currencies typically benefits Japanese exporters by boosting the value of overseas earnings when converted back to the local currency.
