Extreme Corp. reported a 38% jump in operating profit for fiscal year 2025, boosted by its subsidiary Dragami Games’ successful remaster of cult classic “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP” and growing contract development business.
The Tokyo-based digital technology company posted annual revenue of ¥11.34 billion ($75.6 million), up 11% from a year earlier, while operating profit surged to ¥1.52 billion ($10.1 million). Net income rose 9.3% to ¥1.13 billion ($7.5 million).
Extreme’s contracted development segment saw profit soar 37% to ¥913 million amid increased corporate digital investments, while its content property business recorded explosive growth with revenue up 253% as game licensing and “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP” sales exceeded expectations.
Despite the strong performance, Extreme projects a significant decline in profitability for fiscal 2026, forecasting a 34% drop in operating profit to ¥1 billion and a 45.5% plunge in net income to ¥616 million as the one-time boost from the game remaster fades.
The company’s digital talent business, which supplies tech workers to various industries, showed mixed results with revenue growing 5% while segment profit fell 8.6% as the gaming industry faced challenging market conditions.
