enish released its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024, showing a decline in revenue and ongoing losses. The company reported sales of 1.575 billion yen (approximately US$11 million), a 9.3% decrease from the same period last year. The decrease is attributed to declining sales of existing titles, partially offset by contract development projects.

The company’s operating loss was 577 million yen, an improvement from a loss of 790 million yen in the previous year. The ordinary loss was 609 million yen, and the net loss stood at 611 million yen, compared to losses of 817 million yen and 831 million yen, respectively, from the previous year. Increased advertising and promotion costs for the upcoming release of “De:Last Memories” on August 15 contributed to these losses.

Efforts to sustain existing titles have shown some success. “My Restaurant 2” and “GalSho” have continued to perform well, contributing significantly to sales revenue. Additionally, “Attack on Titan Brave Order” has maintained its popularity through strategic user engagement following the release of the anime “Attack on Titan The Final Season Conclusion (Part 2)” in November last year.

The game “The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Quintuplets Can’t Divide a Puzzle into Five Equal Parts” surpassed 8 million downloads, providing a boost to the company’s performance. Enish plans to continue supporting these titles with engaging events and improvements.

The recent release of “Doraemon Nobita’s Go Go Ride!” on the global platform “Roblox” in March 2024 also holds promise. Enish is actively promoting the game and plans to enhance its features to drive future revenue growth.

Looking ahead, Enish is preparing to launch “De:Last Memories,” a mobile blockchain game, on August 15, building on the original “De:” title. The company completed the development necessary for this release after multiple postponements.

Additionally, Enish faces a legal challenge with a lawsuit against HashPalette for 176 million yen in damages. The company is reviewing the claims and intends to address the matter appropriately as it develops.

enish has not provided a full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2024, citing the rapidly changing mobile game business environment and potential short-term fluctuations in performance. The company will release forecasts when it is able to make accurate calculations.
