Elite Material Co., Ltd., Taiwan PCB Maker, reported record quarterly earnings and unveiled plans to expand production capacity as demand for high-end circuit board materials continues to surge.
The copper foil substrate maker posted NT$2.51 billion ($78.4 million) in net income for the third quarter, with revenue climbing to NT$17.46 billion. The company’s profit margin reached 15.1% in the first nine months, the highest level for that period.
The world’s largest manufacturer of high-end substrate materials plans to boost monthly capacity by 1.5 million sheets through 2026, with facilities in Malaysia and mainland China. The expansion includes a new 600,000-sheet plant in Malaysia starting 2025, another 600,000-sheet facility in Zhongshan the following year, and additional equipment at existing sites adding 300,000 sheets by mid-2025.
The manufacturer cited strong demand from three key segments: server components, high-end network materials, and low-orbit satellite communication substrates. The company said its production lines are operating at nearly full capacity to meet customer orders.
Year-to-date earnings per share reached NT$20.14, already exceeding full-year 2023 results.
