Edia Co. surged to record sales and operating profit in the fiscal year ended February, powered by its popular online lottery services and expanding e-book business.
The Tokyo-based digital entertainment company reported a 63% jump in operating profit to ¥262 million ($1.7 million) while revenue climbed 10% to ¥3.61 billion ($24 million) compared to the previous year.
Edia’s flagship online lottery services “Kuji Kore” and “Maru Kuji,” which target female customers, drove performance through multiple collaborations with popular intellectual property brands. The company’s gaming division contributed to earnings through sales of original titles and revived retro games on Nintendo Switch, alongside licensing deals in North American and European markets.
The publishing arm saw significant growth in both print and digital formats as the company expanded its comic portfolio.
For the fiscal year ending February 2026, Edia projects revenue to reach ¥4 billion ($26.7 million) with operating profit rising to ¥350 million ($2.3 million), representing increases of 11% and 33% respectively. Net income is expected to grow at a more modest 6.8% to ¥250 million ($1.7 million).
