Daeduck Electronics is finalizing mass production of multi-layer printed circuit boards for AMD’s MI325X AI accelerators, with shipments expected to begin this quarter following successful quality verification completed late last year.
The Korean PCB manufacturer initiated small-scale MLB shipments for AMD’s accelerators last month after experiencing delays from the original December timeline. AMD unveiled its next-generation MI325X accelerator in October and began shipments in January.
Securities analysts project Daeduck’s MLB sales to surge approximately 63% from 190 billion won (US$140 million) this year to 310 billion won (US$229 million) next year. MLB components would constitute 34.7% of the company’s total sales by 2026, up from 21.2% currently.
Despite recent financial challenges from inventory adjustments that reduced sales and operating profit by 1.9% and 52.3% respectively, industry experts remain bullish on Daeduck’s prospects. The company’s MLBs can stack over 30 layers, enhancing data efficiency more than twice compared to existing methods.
Yang Seung-soo, Meritz Securities researcher, cited Daeduck’s potential to expand market share with AMD beyond Unit Base Boards to include Open Accelerator Modules, which require advanced build-up processes.
