BenQ Group’s affiliate WiXtar has formed a strategic alliance with Qualica, a TIS INTEC Group subsidiary, to expand their digital retail solutions across Asia-Pacific markets.
WiXtar, which currently serves over 47,000 stores in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, holds market shares of 20% and 30% in Taiwan and Singapore respectively. The partnership aims to integrate WiXtar’s cross-border data platform with Qualica’s retail management system, which already serves 150 chain brands and 20,000 stores in Japan.
Qualica’s TQG system uses AI for sales forecasting and inventory management, considering factors like weather patterns and promotional events to optimize ordering. The company’s client portfolio includes major international coffee and fast-food chains.
WiXtar CEO Hui-Mei Kang said the partnership targets 500 new TQG system installations annually. Meanwhile, Partner Tech General Manager and WiXtar Chairman Bao-Yin Wang expects the collaboration to boost operational efficiency for clients across Taiwan and Southeast Asia over the next three to five years.
The alliance, formalized in Tokyo on November 29, marks both companies’ efforts to capture the growing digital transformation demand in Asian markets, though success in this competitive sector remains to be proven.
