ANYCOLOR Inc. raised its full-year outlook after reporting strong third-quarter results driven by surging merchandise sales and successful virtual events featuring its “NIJISANJI” brand of digital entertainers.
The Tokyo-based VTuber agency posted a 24.2% revenue increase to 28.9 billion yen ($193 million) for the nine months through January. Operating profit climbed 21.3% to 10.97 billion yen ($73 million), while net income rose 20.9% to 7.58 billion yen ($50.5 million).
ANYCOLOR’s commerce division achieved record quarterly sales despite initial shipping delays earlier in the fiscal year. The company cited unexpectedly high fan demand for merchandise, though it noted unfulfilled orders increased by approximately 250 million yen ($1.7 million) due to production backlogs for popular items.
Major events including “NIJISANJI Song Festival 2024” and “NIJISANJI COUNTDOWN LIVE 2024→2025” outperformed expectations, helping the events division reach its highest quarterly revenue.
The company now has 165 virtual personalities across its platforms, up by six from the previous year, while registered ANYCOLOR ID accounts jumped 30% to 1.55 million.
ANYCOLOR revised its annual forecast upward by 4.4% to 40.7 billion yen ($271 million) in revenue and lifted its profit outlook to 10.58 billion yen ($70.5 million), a 21.2% increase from the previous fiscal year.
