Acer e-Enabling Services Inc. reported NT$8.7 billion ($276 million) in revenue for 2024, marking its eighth consecutive year of record earnings as demand for cloud and AI services surged.
The software unit of Taiwan’s Acer Inc. saw its cloud business grow by 30% in the first three quarters, now accounting for 70% of total revenue, up from 60% previously. The company’s managing director Carol Chou noted that corporate customers using Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant increased twentyfold within a year.
The company recently developed a cloud-based ticketing platform for Jody Jiang’s concerts, handling 2.6 million ticket registration requests. The system implements a real-name registration and lottery mechanism to ensure fair ticket distribution and prevent scalping.
The shift toward AI services aligns with Gartner’s projection that over 80% of enterprises will deploy generative AI applications by 2026. Despite this growth trajectory, the company faces increasing competition in Taiwan’s cloud services market as more traditional IT providers expand their AI offerings.
December revenue reached NT$950 million ($30 million), contributing to the company’s 15% annual growth in 2024.
