Capcom Co., Ltd. has acquired two-thirds of the issued shares of Minimum Studios, a Taiwanese 3DCG production company, officially making it a subsidiary. Minimum Studios, known for its expertise in animation production for video game development, has an impressive track record, contributing to several major Capcom titles.

This acquisition aligns with Capcom’s long-term strategy to enhance its development and technical capabilities, supporting its goal of achieving annual sales of 100 million units. By integrating Minimum Studios, Capcom aims to fortify its development structure, ensuring it has the necessary technological prowess for future projects.

The company anticipates that the financial impact of this acquisition on its consolidated results for the current fiscal year will be minor.

Minimum Studios, established in August 2018 and headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, focuses on animation production related to game development. This strategic acquisition reflects Capcom’s commitment to sustaining growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the gaming industry.
