Wistron Corp. reported NT$89.82 billion (US$2.82 billion) in revenue for August, marking a 23.23% year-over-year increase and its second-highest monthly performance in 2024. The growth was fueled by increased sales in the company’s notebook and AI server segments, with total revenue for the first eight months of the year reaching NT$655.17 billion (US$20.52 billion), up 17.17% from the same period last year.
Wistron expects its AI server business to continue expanding, with quarterly growth in the double digits. Its subsidiary Wiwynn, which focuses on data center solutions, posted August revenue of NT$32.19 billion (US$1.01 billion), a 65.5% annual increase. Wiwynn’s AI server shipments, particularly those equipped with GPU and ASIC technologies, are projected to drive further growth in the second half of the year.
Looking ahead, Wistron anticipates stable shipments of laptops and monitors in the third quarter, alongside modest growth in desktops. AI servers are expected to remain the primary growth driver, with a three-digit annual growth rate, while general-purpose server shipments will stay flat or see slight gains.
