Quanta Computer Inc. is set to roll out its new AI supercomputers this year, targeting major U.S. technology companies as the Taiwan-based manufacturer looks to capitalize on artificial intelligence demand.
The company will launch its GB200 and GB300 supercomputers, aiming to secure orders from Microsoft Corp., Amazon.com Inc., Alphabet Inc.’s Google, and Meta Platforms Inc., according to company executives at an annual event. The move follows eight years of AI development efforts at Quanta.
The manufacturer plans to expand its U.S. production capacity and hire 500-600 new employees to meet expected order volumes. Chairman Barry Lam said the company achieved record revenue in 2024 and anticipates high growth in 2025.
Vice Chairman C.C. Leung noted global uncertainties ahead, particularly around the U.S. presidential election on January 20. He emphasized the importance of adapting quickly to market changes.
At the year-end celebration attended by over 12,000 employees, Quanta distributed NT$300,000 (US$9,600) cash prizes to eight staff members. The company engaged local artists including jazz singer 9M88 and rock star Wu Bai for performances.
