Naver Corp.’s startup incubator, D2 Startup Factory (D2SF), has made strategic investments in two North American AI startups—Claythis and YesPlz—both founded by Korean entrepreneurs. These investments are part of Naver’s efforts to expand its reach into AI-driven technologies.
Claythis focuses on automating 3D character and animation creation, streamlining the entire process from 3D modeling to motion generation. Targeting small to medium-sized game developers, the startup’s AI-driven solution aims to reduce the time and resources needed for game development.
YesPlz, on the other hand, offers a multimodal AI tailored for fashion product searches and recommendations. Its platform integrates text, images, and styles to enhance user search experiences. Delivered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution, YesPlz’s AI is used by clients like W Concept and Kolon Mall to optimize product tagging, recommendations, and analytics.
These investments signal Naver’s continued interest in nurturing cutting-edge AI technologies across diverse industries, from gaming to e-commerce.
