Uni-President Enterprise Corp. posted its highest-ever quarterly revenue as the Taiwanese packaging manufacturer benefited from recovering tinplate orders and new beverage customers including Red Bull.

Third-quarter revenue jumped 47% to NT$12.49 billion ($390 million), while net income surged more than 50% to NT$1.13 billion. Earnings per share reached NT$0.72.

The company’s rebound follows the resolution of U.S. anti-dumping concerns and growing orders from mainland Chinese beverage makers. Revenue for the first nine months of 2024 climbed 23% to NT$33.48 billion.

To meet rising demand, Uni-President plans to add three aseptic production lines in 2025, with facilities in Wuxi, Zhangzhou and Beijing. Each line will have an annual capacity of 16.5 million boxes.

The company’s chairman Luo Zhixian noted that while iron product prices declined year-over-year, impacting margins, strong beverage packaging sales helped offset the decrease. A new partnership with Sam’s Club and Costco for tinplate products is expected to support steady growth in the segment.
