The success of ‘Lies of P’ extended to the Popular Game Award, where it garnered 80% of online votes, reflecting both widespread public acclaim and approval from professional judges and gamers alike. Set in a modern European backdrop inspired by ‘Pinocchio,’ the action-packed fairy tale game achieved cumulative sales surpassing 1 million copies within a month of its September release, with over 90% of overseas sales in North America, Europe, and Japan.
Meanwhile, Nexon’s ‘Dave the Diver,’ from Mint Rocket, secured the Grand Prize, highlighting the global recognition of Korean games. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoo In-chon, presenting awards at the event, pledged ongoing support for the international expansion of proficient game companies, emphasizing a commitment to policy development through open dialogue with industry stakeholders.
