MIXI and Mitsui Fudosan have officially completed the construction of “LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY,” a state-of-the-art multipurpose arena located in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, scheduled for a grand unveiling event on May 29th. This landmark venue, boasting a capacity of 10,000, represents a significant milestone in the partnership between MIXI, a leader in digital communication services, and real estate giant Mitsui Fudosan.

Set to host its opening ceremony with the “Mr.Children tour 2024 miss you arena tour” on July 6th and 7th, LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY marks MIXI’s ambitious entry into the arena business. With a deep commitment to fostering rich communication through sports, MIXI envisions the arena as a dynamic platform for up-close sports experiences, utilizing its technological prowess to create an unprecedented viewing environment. The venue will also serve as the home arena for the professional basketball team, the Chiba Jets, further entrenching MIXI’s presence in the sports sector.

LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY is meticulously designed to encapsulate the essence of the LaLaport port and the jet plane motif synonymous with the Chiba Jets. Its exterior features dynamic aluminum panels, while the interior employs a bowl design to enhance the sense of intimacy between performers, players, and spectators across concerts and sporting events.

The arena boasts several premium features, including a VIP area with exclusive access, a VIP ROOM and VIP BOX for an elevated viewing experience, and various food and beverage options tailored to specific events. Additionally, it is equipped with a 423-inch center vision and a ribbon vision, enhancing its capability for diverse performances.

Environmental sustainability is a cornerstone of the arena’s design, achieving “ZEB Oriented” certification and implementing measures to significantly reduce primary energy consumption.

With MIXI’s vision of “expanding rich communication and wrapping the world in happy surprises,” LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY stands as a testament to innovation in entertainment and sports, poised to become a central hub for fans and families alike, contributing to the vibrant culture of domestic anime and beyond.
