Konami Group reported record profits for the fiscal year ended March 2025, driven by strong performance across its gaming portfolio, particularly its Digital Entertainment segment.
The Tokyo-based company posted a net profit of ¥74.69 billion ($485 million), a 26.2% increase from the previous year. Revenue rose 17% to ¥421.6 billion ($2.74 billion), while operating profit jumped 27% to ¥101.94 billion ($662 million).
Digital Entertainment, Konami’s main profit driver, saw revenue climb 22.5% to ¥305.19 billion, accounting for over 70% of total sales. The division’s business profit increased 24.7% to ¥98.94 billion.
The remake of horror classic “Silent Hill 2” surpassed 2 million units in global shipments, while Konami’s baseball titles featuring brand ambassador Shohei Ohtani continued to perform well. The company’s “eFootball” franchise maintained strong momentum, exceeding 800 million cumulative downloads across platforms.
Konami’s Gaming & Systems business, which supplies casino equipment, grew revenue by 7.4% to ¥42.67 billion, while the Sports segment was the weakest performer with just 1.9% revenue growth and a 4.2% decline in business profit.
For fiscal 2026, Konami forecasts modest gains with revenue increasing 2% to ¥430 billion and net profit edging up just 0.4% to ¥75 billion, suggesting the company may struggle to maintain its current growth trajectory.
