Hon Hai, also known as Foxconn, posted NT$548.3 billion (approximately US$17.3 billion) in revenue for August, marking a 32.81% increase year-on-year, despite a 4.20% month-on-month decline. The company attributed the rise to robust demand across various sectors, setting a new record for August. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months of 2024 reached NT$3.9946 trillion, up 9.52% from last year.
With the company entering its peak season, Hon Hai expects stronger operations in the third quarter, predicting both quarterly and annual growth. Increased demand for AI cloud products has been a key driver in the “Cloud Network Product Category,” which saw stable performance month-to-month. Meanwhile, the “Consumer Smart Product Category” experienced a slight decline as it transitions between older and newer products.
Year-to-date, the cloud network segment has shown strong growth due to heightened demand for AI servers, while components and automotive-related products have also seen notable increases. In contrast, the consumer smart products category faced a slight year-on-year decline, attributed to a high base period due to production delays in 2023.
