Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) announced that it will officially debut its new electric vehicle, Model D, in collaboration with Italy’s renowned automotive design firm, Pininfarina, at its upcoming Hon Hai Technology Days on October 8 and 9. Known for its iconic designs for luxury brands like Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz, Pininfarina has lent its expertise to help Hon Hai create what is expected to be a cutting-edge electric vehicle.
The Model D is rumored to be a larger SUV or MPV, positioned between the crossover Model C and luxury sedan Model E in Hon Hai’s expanding EV portfolio. This collaboration signifies Hon Hai’s commitment to establishing itself in the global electric vehicle market, with designs that blend style and advanced technology.
In addition to the Model D, Hon Hai has already developed several other electric models, including the Model C SUV and the Model T electric bus, both of which have entered mass production. The company also plans to launch more vehicles globally, with upcoming expansions into the U.S., Southeast Asia, and Japan in 2025.
Hon Hai’s EV strategy continues to grow, with production capacity and international market presence expected to increase significantly in the coming years.
