Taiwan’s Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. reported December revenue of NT$654.8 billion ($21.1 billion), marking a 2.64% decline from November but a robust 42.31% increase year-over-year. The monthly dip came despite strong performance in components and cloud networking products.
The Apple supplier closed its fourth quarter with record sales of NT$2.13 trillion ($68.8 billion), up 15.17% from the previous year. Full-year revenue reached NT$6.86 trillion ($221.3 billion), representing an 11.37% increase from 2023.
While consumer electronics showed weakness due to seasonal factors, the company’s cloud and networking segment demonstrated significant growth, powered by increasing demand for AI servers. Component sales also remained strong, buoyed by automotive-related business expansion.
Looking ahead, Hon Hai expects first-quarter performance to align with historical patterns as operations enter the traditional off-season. The company forecasts maintaining average seasonal levels seen over the past five years, though anticipating notable year-over-year growth.
